Travel Better with Cuyana

Travel Better with Cuyana

Fewer, better things.

This is the mission of Cuyana, the San Francisco-based company that aims to create timeless essentials for the modern woman. They maintain the standard of using ethical practices and sustainable materials at an accessible price point.

It's this same mission that drew me to the brand years ago, when I invested in my first "adult" work bag—the Tall Leather Tote in Caramel. Fast forward five years, and I still have that same bag and it looks just as good, if not better, than the day I bought it.

I've been traveling a lot lately for both work and pleasure. And with our trip to Savannah coming up, I knew I was in need of a bag that could get me places. Immediately I looked to Cuyana.

The Le Sud Leather Travel Bag is a workhorse if there ever was one. The leather is smooth and luxurious, but manages to fit any and everything. As someone who is a chronic over-packer, this is crucial. I'm able to fit at least four pairs of shoes, a few sweaters and light jackets, jeans, skirts, dresses... you get it. It truly is a piece worth your time and money. I'm in love and wish I had a smaller version to carry with me day-to-day. The mix of masculine and feminine elements is so strikingly balanced. (Tip: I like to tie a chic silk scarf around the handle to mix it up a bit.)

This Pebbled Leather Travel Set is amazing, too. I use this small bag to keep my everyday cosmetics neatly stowed away and the larger bag can easily fit all of my toiletries and jewelry when I'm on the go. I absolutely love how they look, as well as how functional they are. The olive green color is absolutely gorgeous in person! I'm planning to give them to both my mom and sister as gifts. (They offer monograming for most of their products, the perfect gift.)

Even though it's still 80 degrees in Charleston, I'm already eyeing some up the sweaters, like this wool beauty. When it comes to Cuyana's pieces that I know I'll love and use forever. What are your favorite pieces from the brand?
